Victory Oil & Energy has delivered a decisive statement of capability with the successful execution of two advanced Well Services Drilling Simulation training sessions, reinforcing its standing as a frontline leader in simulation-driven competence development for the energy industry. The sessions were delivered in collaboration with RelyOn Nutec for Azule Energy, and hosted at Victory Oil & Energy’s state-of-the-art Visualization Centre (Viz Centre).
At a time when operational risk tolerance continues to narrow and performance expectations rise, the training was designed to do more than educate, it was built to test, challenge, and elevate real operational decision-making. Leveraging the full capability of VOE’s Viz Room, participants were immersed in high-fidelity simulations replicating live well operations, exposing them to realistic pressure scenarios that demanded technical precision, situational awareness, and disciplined safety responses.
The sessions blended rigorous theoretical grounding with hands-on simulation, ensuring that knowledge was immediately applied under conditions mirroring the field. Participants navigated complex well control situations, reinforcing procedural accuracy while experiencing the real-time consequences of decisions in a controlled, consequence-based environment. This approach enabled deeper learning retention, stronger confidence, and sharper operational judgment.
Feedback from participants across both sessions was emphatic. Strong satisfaction was recorded in critical areas including safety focus, the balance of theory and practice, trainer expertise, and the quality of facilities and equipment. Overall experience ratings reflected a clear endorsement of simulation-based learning as a superior model for technical competence development.
The results were particularly telling. Eighty percent of participants from the first session confirmed they would recommend the course, rising sharply to ninety one percent in the second session, a clear indicator of growing confidence, perceived value, and delivery consistency. The upward trajectory in participant endorsement validated not only the training methodology, but also VOE’s ability to refine and elevate delivery between sessions.
